Congratulations to our Spring Award Recipients! McFee and Undergraduate Awards
Anthropology Department Awards Committee is pleased to announce the 2018-2019 Spring Awards.
Beau DiNapoli received the Malcolm McFee Memorial Award for his paper, Rapa Nui (Easter Island) monument (ahu) locations explained by freshwater sources. The article was recently published and can also be viewed online here.
Cheyenne Collins received the Undergraduate Award for Research to support her project, Preliminary Decomposition Study in the Willamette Valley of Oregon: A Multi-Method Comparison and Sharp Force Trauma Effects. This research is part of Cheyenne’s very ambitious Honors College thesis project!
Itzel Quiroz received the Undergraduate Award for Conference Travel to support the presentation of her poster, Ethnobotanical Knowledge Encoded in Wichi Oral Tradition, at the Human Behavior and Evolution Society meetings later this month. Itzel will also be presenting this poster at the Undergraduate Research Symposium next week – go check it out!
